This Benrinnes distilled in 2008 aged 16 years in first-fill Amontillado casks before being bottled at its natural strength of 53.20%. This Speyside single malt offers a balanced and elegant profile, with aromas of dried fruits, caramel and ginger.

Although confidential, Benrinnes is nevertheless very well-known to enthusiasts. Its tumultuous history is a succession of reconstructions and changes of ownership before finding a little stability in 1925 thanks to the DCL, the Distillers Company Limited. This distillery, which had its own "saladin box" to malt its barley until 1984, is also distinguished by an unconventional distillation method based on a "partial triple distillation". If its rare official bottlings have remained in the shadows: Flora & Fauna and Rare Malts, it is within the trading market that the most expressive versions can be found.
