BALLECHIN 20 ans 2004 Port Pipe

This Ballechin, distilled in 2004, was aged for 20 years in first-fill Port casks before being bottled at 54.70%. This Highland single malt has a complex, elegant profile, with aromas of red fruit, peat and coffee.

A peated version of Edradour, Ballechin is only a small part of the distillery's production and is one of the few Highland whiskies capable of standing up to the best Islay. You can recognise the rich, fruity character of Edradour behind the thick curtain of smoke. Fruit, citrus and sweet spices weave their way through the omnipresent peaty notes. Bottled at a slightly higher proof than its sister version, Edradour 10 Year Old, this Ballechin shows its strength and liveliness.
