For this exclusive edition, Armorik Yeun Elez Jobic's traditional bourbon cask has been replaced by two sherry casks featuring a variety of oak essences. This limited edition of 1,000 bottles is a blend of 80% American Oak Sherry Butt and 20% Spanish Oak Sherry Butt. Distilled and casked in 2020, the Armorik Yeun Elez Edition Exclusive small batch is distinguished by its smoky, medicinal organic peat, combined with the sweetness of sherry cask aging.
Heavily Peated
Nose : Incredibly intense, the nose immediately reveals all the richness of organic peat (less airy than on Armorik Yeun Elez Jobic), with camphor and medicinal notes. On aeration, the sherry cask delivers on all its promises, imparting even more sweetness: orange jam, roasted peanuts almost caramelized, honey and resinous syrup.
Appearance : Acajou.
Palate : Round and delicate, the 56.3% struggles to make itself felt. At first, peat dominates, with notes of open fire and wood-roasted chestnuts. The mid-palate is marked by a balance between spicy peat (clove), camphor and a sweetness based on fruit marmalade, buckwheat honey and cocoa.
Overall : The finish reminds us of the benefits of high alcohol levels: a long, warm and comforting finish, with hints of ashes and citrus fruits (orange).
