VILANOVA Gilbert Signature #1

This first Vilanova "Collection signature" edition, named "Gilbert" in homage to the distillery's founder, born 102 years ago, is the result of a small blend of the casks making up the distillery's permanent cuvees in equivalent proportions:
- Ex-Bourbon casks (Vilanova Gost component)
- Ex-casks of Vilanova Berbie's characteristic sweet (Pacherenc and Rivesaltes appellations) and dry (Bergerac appellation) white wines.
- Ex-red wine barrels (Saint-Julien appellation), used for Vilanova Roja.
Barely marked by its degree thanks to a particularly long reduction, the bouquet opens with subtle vanilla notes, finely woody, enhanced by hints of Ente plum and iodine. Full-bodied on the palate, tactile and mellow at the same time, with roasted notes, it offers a superb length that fades to a saline finish.
Vilanova Cuvée Gilbert Signature #1 is a fruity single malt with a strong character, capable of satisfying the most demanding connoisseurs.
A testament to the family's history, this small batch is the perfect accompaniment to the launch of Vilanova's new identity.
