A marriage of red wine and Apera aged single malt whiskies, further enriched for 18 months in ex-Bourbon Stout barrels that produced Brick Lane’s coveted ‘Trilogy of Fear’ imperial stout series. Drawing complex flavours of dark roasted malt, with a chocolatey finish, this drop is delicious sipped neat, and even better as a boilermaker with a barrel aged beer.
Nose : The classic Starward tropical fruits shine through followed by vanilla pods and chocolate malt biscuits.
Palate : Banana ice cream, stone fruit and big malty backbone
Overall : The higher ABV gives a great structure to the palate and extends the malty chocolate finish.
