Penderyn released at Whisky Live Paris 2022 this bottling of three of Penderyn's most unusual casks : an Amontillado Sherry, a Jamaican Rum and a Carcavelos Portuguese Sweet Wine. These whiskies were distilled from their unique Faraday stills as well as the more traditional Pot still. Bottled at 50%, this whisky is a limited edition of 1000 bottles, exclusively for the French market.
Nose : An abundance of dried fruits, banana chips, buttered caramel and vanilla custard, which gradually transforms into french oak with a hint of dark berries, including black currant.
Palate : Creamy and sweet, on flavors of caramel and cinnamon, then dates, figs, raisins and dried bananas with a hint of peppery and woody spices.
Overall : Notes of nuts as well as the drier side of oak.
