MOON HARBOUR 5 ans DOCK 1 Single Malt Finition Château Rieussec

ELABORATION

DOCK 1 is a single malt of 100% Bordeaux origin: brewed, fermented and distilled at Moon Harbour in a local still. The cereals were grown in the Bordeaux region. Aged for 3 years in Sauternes casks, then matured for 6 months in casks from Château Rieussec, located in Sauternes in the Gironde, the spirit is 100% Made In Bordeaux. Bottled without any cold filtration Natural colouring.

TASTING COMMENTS

The colour is gold, with hints of yellow sapphire. There is a beautiful brilliance and tears of fat, due to the distillation technique. The nose is intense, with very cereal notes, thanks to the quality of the raw material. Accompanied by aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit such as mirabelle plum, the trend is followed by caramel and cinnamon, ending with woody tones. The palate is warm and spicy. The attack is lively, then softened by the roundness of the distillate. Flavours of quince, cinnamon and caramel dominate. Good length.


FOOD AND WHISKY PAIRING

A dish such as duck breast with foie gras is a perfect match for this whisky. It would be ideal on toast with beaufort and figs. At the end of the meal, a tarte tatin will delight your taste buds and sublimate the cereal flavours of our Single Malt.
