HOLYROOD New Make Spirit Brewers Series No.1 Brewers x Distillers Yeast

Inspired by Edinburgh's brewing heritage, the new makes Brewer's series range uses different varieties of yeast and malt found in both brewing and distilling. It pays homage to the distillery's very close relationship with Edinburgh and is the first stop on their exploratory journey into whiskey making.
The Brewer's series helps shine a light on their very specific approach to the brewing process which can reveal an incredible array of flavors, giving whiskey drinkers a whole new experience. An experience that surprises, educates and inspires!

The NMS01 is the first new make in the Brewer's series. NMS01 illustrates the complementarity of the use of brewer's yeast and distillation yeast. Brewer's yeast (American Ale yeast) gives a clean mouthfeel with hints of peach and sweet citrus. The second strain of yeast, Distiller's Yeast strain M, is very effective at converting fermentable sugars and enhancing the flavors created by brewer's yeast.
