Distilled in 1964, this Glenburgie was aged for 59 years in first-fill sherry casks before being bottled at its natural strength of 52.90%. This Speyside single malt reveals a powerful, spicy profile with aromas of stewed fruit, aniseed and honey.


Founded in 1829 (1810 according to some sources), Glenburgie has always been associated with the Ballantine's blend and Allied Domecq. Glenburgie has the distinction of having housed two Lomond-type stills from 1958 onwards, not widely used in the industry. These were replaced by traditional pot stills in 1981.

The "Private Collection" range brings together a collection of exceptional single malts of exceptional age and quality, personally selected by members of the Urquhart family. Crafted from unique casks and shaped by time, they are a tribute to the distilleries, whether famous, discreet or closed.
