The Distillerie Guy is the last absinthe distillery still in operation in Pontarlier (Doubs - 25), the world capital of absinthe before its abolition in 1915#P,& at that time, 23 distilleries were operating in Pontarlier !
In all the Absinthes de Pontarlier (GI), it is the taste of the Grande Absinthe plant that dominates. Here, it is coated with rich and creamy notes of buttery vanilla pastries with subtle hints of walnut/hazelnut, brought by its ageing in three different casks: a new oak cask, an oak cask already used for absinthe ageing, and a cask of white Jura wine.
When tasted, this absinthe will transport you to the crazy and mythical times when the French consumed more absinthe than wine or beer.
No added flavours or colourings, everything comes from plants only.
