- Aromas of dried fruit, walnuts and prunes,
- Serve chilled and plain as an aperitif,
- At the table, it goes well with melon and foie gras,
As a dessert, it goes well with apple or chocolate desserts.
Guy LE LAY, the creator of the 1st Pommeau Breton (December 1986), first made it known under the name "Apéritif des Menhirs" and then "Pommeau des Menhirs".
Pommeau Breton differs from its Norman cousin in that it has a more pronounced structure and tannic character. Another difference is that it has a higher sugar content (123 g/litre instead of 108 g/litre).
Production is controlled by 40 hectares of orchards.
The distillery's AOC Pommeaux are currently the most awarded in Brittany".
