Pira is a new Gin recipe created by Maison Drouin which continues to explore the aromas of the Normandy terroir.
In this new edition, the pear is at the center of the recipe. A variety of Norman pear, called Domfront, is associated with jenever, vanilla, lemon, black pepper as well as Iris root, the flower that adorns the roofs of Norman thatched cottages.
Pira is made according to the same principles as the original version of 'Le Gin'#P,& each aromatics is macerated and redistilled separately in order to optimize the extraction of aromas. The distillates are then assembled before bottling.
