Slightly Peated
Nose : The peat expresses itself with great elegance, followed by fragrances evoking the journey of malted barley grains to the fermentation vats. It also displays earthy, roasted tones. On aeration, the nose opens with notes of orange and chocolate.
Appearance : Or pale
Palate : Initially malty, the palate evolves towards citrus flavors (lemon, grapefruit) that give the mid-palate a subtle acidic undertone. The finish is punctuated by a lovely salty salinity.
Overall : At once sweet and rich, the finish is initially marked by notes of plum. It then becomes chocolaty, then lactic with aeration. Smoky, mineral notes (charcoal) linger on the aftertaste.
