In 1983, Gilles Leizour took over at the head of the Warenghem distillery, which had been producing liqueur since 1900. He decided he wanted to make a whisky from malted barley and wheat, which would be released for the first time in 1987 under the name WB. In 1993, Leizour then invested in new equipment with the goal of producing a single malt. Named Armorik, this single malt was bottled five years later in 1998.

This version was matured for one year in a wine cask and then for 11 years in a bourbon cask, and is guided by a multi-facetted peat that melts delicately into wonderfully mature fruit, chocolate and salt tones.
