Founded by the three Stirling brothers on their family's east coast estate, sustainability has been at the heart of Arbikie's production from day one. From the revolutionary use of hydrogen in the distillery to carbon-negative farming, Arbikie is a true leader in green distilling.

Sweet aromas of Icelandic rye bread, honeyed sponge cake and cloves open the bouquet, with a hint of nutmeg emerging over time. The palate is bright and cheery, with sweet rye spices, crème brûlée and dark chocolate biscuits. Bakery spices and dry rye come in waves on the finish. Scotland isn't known for its rye whisky, but if this whisky is anything to go by, it soon will be.

The Collective's first series, The Pioneers, looks at the pioneers of sustainable, eco-responsible distilling. A selection of ten bottlings, ranging from Irish single pot stills to Tasmanian single rye, The Pioneers series is a real tribute to distillers who care about the future of the planet.
