Nose : rich, concentrated. Expressing aromas of burnt wood and turpentine, the first nose is impressively powerful. Allowed to breathe, bacon, sleet and iodine scents appear alongside notes of cut hay, tapioca and liquorice. Saturated with intense smoke, the aroma palette gradually develops a very eloquent spicy (black pepper, clove), roasted (coffee) and herbaceous (sorrel, lovage) register.

Appearance : or très pâle

Palate : full-bodied, balanced. Equipped with an invigorating acidity, the attack is also characterised by a very pleasant chocolate, saffron and mentholated smoothness. On the mid-palate, notes of ash and smoke elegantly flood the taste buds. The animal end of the palate (bresaola, venison) is medicinal (iodine tincture) and empyreumatic (fuel oil).

Overall : long, very dense. At the start of the finish, flavours of eucalyptus, peppermint and ivy emphasise the flavour palette’s refreshingly herbaceous and vegetal (Havana cigar) character. The milky end of the finish (agave milk, hot chocolate) is also particularly fruity (William’s pear, Golden Delicious apple). The rich empty glass is like a delicious coffee ice cream.
