Virgin and seasoned (Bourbon and Tennessee whiskey) casks are raised by hand in the Brown-Forman Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky, while Sherry casks are provided by way of Spain. The Slane distillery is located in the Village of Slane (home to the legendary Slane Castle music concert) and built into the 230-year-old gothic stables of Slane Castle, designed by the preeminent landscape architect Capability Brown.
