Mackmyra Identitet es a peated whisky where the experience intensifies from the nose to the palate and finally reaches its peak in the long finish. The combination of Swedish Oak and « Juniper Smoke » is what makes this whisky so interesting.
Slightly Peated
Nose : A gentle and deep note of peat is the first to present itself. Behind it, there are lively citrus notes of orange, sweet vanilla, and a subtle nutty undertone.
Palate : Full-bodied peat with both distinct sweetness and mild bitterness provides a mouth-warming sensation. The sweeter elements include flavors of vanilla toffee, brown sugar, and cashew nuts. The citrus notes are perceived as flavors of lemon, orange, and ginger.
Overall : All the components from the nose and palate, both sweet and citrus, are present in the long finish. The full-bodied yet gentle peat is particularly pronounced. Notes of oak and a hint of dark chocolate emerge as well.
