HIGHLAND PARK 2003 OVER 20 YEARS ARTIST #14 Rothes Glen

Founded in 1798 by David Robertson, Highland Park was a hotbed of clandestine distilling until it obtained its licence in 1826. In 1898, it doubled its production capacity from two to four stills. Since 1999, it has been owned by the Edrington group. In his Enthusiast's Guide, Michael Jackson described Highland Park as ‘the most complete athlete of all Scottish single malts’. On discovering this timeless version, we can only agree with him. Reminiscent of a very old vin jaune from the Jura, it displays an old-style character with great class, bringing back memories of childhood buried deep in our memory.
