GLENFIDDICH 21 ans Gran Reserva

Matured in rum barrels from the Sancti-Spiritus region, a town in the heart of Cuba, this single malt with glints of topaz has a nose characterised by exotic fruit. It evolves with violets, tobacco, vanilla and sugar cane. The palate is fresh and heady, evoking bananas and ripe fruit (pears), and developing mellow notes of malted barley. The finish reveals notes of cocoa beans and slightly bitter chocolate. Finishings have become very fashionable. While the merits of some may be debatable, this Gran Reserva is of a more serious calibre. An official version available as a special bottling.
