Nestled in the heart of Speyside, Craigellachie was founded in 1891 by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie. From the outset, the distillery has distinguished itself by its robust, sultry character, due to the use of its famous worm tubs for cooling spirits. Surviving the vagaries of time, it has retained a rich, complex style, marked by notes of ripe fruit, light smoke and an oily texture. Long discreet, Craigellachie is now recognized for its singular identity, embodying a timeless, authentic Scottish tradition.
