These are 225L American oak casks that have contained red wine, toasted and charred in a process devised by Dr. Jim Swan, a key man in the development of the distillery and a friend of Daniel.
Like all Cotswold whiskies, it is distilled from 100% local barley, malted in the traditional way.
Bottled in small batches in cask strength and fermented for almost 4 days, this expression of great aromatic power is worthy of a whisky with a certain age, with fruity and tannic notes very pleasant.

Palate : Fruity and malty.<br>Cereal and toasted notes, red fruit notes balanced by the sweetness of caramel.
Overall : Spicy. Woody notes, dried fruits and a persistent nutty flavor.
