Bowmore Distillery

The Bowmore distillery still malts approximately 30% of its barley. Its uses onion-shaped stills. While its single malt isn’t the peatiest of Islay malts, it is the most voluptuous.

Characterized by sea flavours, it reveals the brand’s trademark notes of iodine, liquorice, and sherry. For several years now, Bowmore has been increasing its range of finishes in specific barrels (sherry, port, claret), rendering its single malts more accessible.

It also enjoys meticulous care from its employees, as illustrated by its spirit safe that is more than a hundred years-old.
