BENRIACH 30 ans The Thirty

In the early 1970s, Benriach broke with Speyside convention by returning to the traditional distillation of heavily peated malted barley, becoming the only distillery in the region to offer a 30+ year old peated whisky in its permanent range.

The Thirty is the only expression of the distillery to be made entirely from peated malted barley.
After 30 years of ageing, the peat has developed a complex aromatic palette, making the smoky notes exquisitely refined as they slowly melt into the fruit, barley and oak flavours.

This prestigious blend has been made from peated whiskies that have been quadruple aged in sherry, bourbon, new oak and port casks, each adding their own specific flavours, creating an exceptional single malt with aromas of black fruit, walnut wood and velvety oak spice, with a lingering finish of smoky honey.
