Shortly after the LVMH Group took over the family-owned Glenmorangie PLC, classic Ardbeg bottlings including the 17-year-old, the 25-year-old Lord of The Isles and the 30-year-old entered the pantheon of collectible bottles. The same is true of all the vintages and single casks from this era. For many whisky lovers of the late 90s and early 2000s, this version was, like the now unobtainable Springbank 21 Year Old, a superb “night cap”!
