La Maison du Whisky unveils its 2025 catalogue, bringing together nearly 170 exceptional spirits: whisky from Scotland and around the world, rum, cognac, armagnac, calvados... as well as sake. Official and independant bottlings, ranges designed in collaboration with artists, collector bottles - these limited editions, offered exclusively by La Maison du Whisky, have all been selected from distilleries around the world.
This year's catalogue, Foundations, highlights the architectural heritage of the spirits industry, in particular through the legacy of architect and engineer Charles Doig (1855-1918), an important figure in the history of whisky.
The new collection also explores some thirty whisky and rum distilleries through architectural designs and sketches. This exploration of the heritage of spirits has a particular resonance given the 20th anniversary of Whisky Live Paris, held at the Grande Halle de la Villette, a magnificent example of 19th-century industrial architecture.
Un hommage à l’architecte Charles Doig
The Scottish architect Charles Doig is renowned for having designed and perfected the layout of some fifty distilleries, which owe their pagoda-shaped roofs to him, and which have become a symbolic architectural landmark. Designed to improve malting techniques, this innovation has had a lasting influence on the whisky industry, well beyond Scotland's borders.
The two new Artist ranges from La Maison du Whisky have been developed as a tribute to the architect: illustrated by the painters Victor Ekpuk and Logovarda, they showcase distilleries on which the architect worked from 1880 onwards. Dating from the 1890s to 1910, the plans published in the Foundations catalogue show the alterations and renovations carried out by Charles Doig at the Aberlour, Benromach, Glenburgie, Highland Park, Laphroaig, Longmorn and Macallan distilleries.

An Exploration of Distilleries through Architecture
Highlighting the architectural heritage of the spirits industry, Foundations explores some twenty distilleries, including The Cairn, Lochranza, Benromach, Ben Nevis, Yoichi, Willett, Hampden, Stade's West Indies Rhum Distillery and Neisson, whose buildings, cellars and stills are unveiled throughout the catalogue. Ancient or contemporary, modernist or functional, their diverse architectures bear witness to the history of spirits. Through original illustrations and documentation, La Maison du Whisky invites you to rediscover these production sites and their exceptional know-how.
