ROBERT BURNS
Head to Scotland to celebrate Burns Night!
Robert Burns is known around the world as the Scottish "bard" (poet), whose work is celebrated every year on his birthday, January 25.
During this celebration, which has been a national holiday for two centuries, it is customary for all guests to enjoy a hearty meal that includes haggis, turnips, potatoes and of course uisge beatha (brandy).
During this feast, many songs, speeches and poems are recited to pay tribute to the "favorite son of Scotland".
