GLANN AR MOR

Created in 1997 and a pioneer in French whisky, Celtic Whisky Compagnie is one of the most successful distilleries in France. It was founded in the heart of the Trégor region, on the north coast of Brittany, by two enthusiasts, Jean and Martine Donnay. The climate and the fact that the distillery and the cellars are only a few metres from the sea, make the whiskies unique in France. Moreover, the Celtic Whisky Company is probably the only one to gather under the same roof, the specificities which allow to elaborate a whisky in the purest tradition and as there are very few today: toasting with an open flame, slow distillation, small onion-shaped stills, wooden fermenters, serpentine condensers, maturation in Bourbon casks and by the sea, not cold filtered and keeping its natural colour.

Glan ar Mor claims a Single Malt character sculpted by its terroir of origin, the winds and the maturation by the sea (from which it takes its name Glann Ar Mor meaning "Seaside". On the nose, in addition to its true elegance (honey and toffee), it has a saline and iodine touch. This is revealed on the palate, mingling with notes of apricot and sweet spices.
