Produced by the Indian Amrut Distilleries, this dark rum is a blend of two types of rum. The first is a rum made from Jaggery (unrefined sugar from sugar cane, traditionally used in Indian desserts) produced in the Indian state of Karnataka, distilled in a pot still and aged in American oak barrels. The second is a Jamaican rum, with an intense profile and very pronounced aromas. Both rums are carefully blended before bottling in India.
Nose : Aromas of black fruits (blackberries). Notes of toffee, molasses and licorice.
Palate : Oily and gourmet, notes of toffee and spices blend with saffron.
Overall : More bitter notes of pepper and licorice.
