Inspired by carbon filtration invented by Vladimir Smirnoff, the Distillerie de Paris has taken the technique even further by using gas-phase filtration. This means that the charcoal not only filters the alcohol, but also oxygenates it. The second innovative change is reducing with water during distillation, which makes it easier to integrate water into the alcohol. The result is a distillate with no head or tail!
